It’s Miller time!
Well truthfully, Wisconsin is home to a plethora of breweries, so you have your pick of the litter, so to speak. However, Miller is the owner and namesake of the Milwaukee Brewers, named for the wildly popular industry of the area. That’s also the reason you see what looks like a piece of greenery under the M on the hat below: it’s actually barley to represent the connection to brewing! You’d think they’d use a picture of hops, but they chunkier buds don’t really lend themselves to an underline design quite as well.
I’ve been on a bit of a J. Crew kick lately (J. Crew for the Brew Crew!) and based today’s fan pairing around a skirt from their fall line, as it happened to perfectly coordinate with the newer Brewers colors. Depending on the shirt or hat, the third color for Milwaukee is somewhere between gold and khaki, so I went with a bit of artistic license and chose gold today. I love the look of the marled grey wool with blue and gold, so I continued the trend throughout, even mixing in a bag and pair of earrings handmade in Milwaukee! As I was thinking of a work-to-game outfit, I opted for flats that were sleek enough to look dressy (thanks Jimmy Choo!) but still supremely comfortable for climbing the stadium stairs. Enjoy the look, and save a cold one for me!
